L'instruction INSERT INTO est utilisée pour ajouter de nouveaux enregistrements à une table de base de données.
Syntaxe
Il est possible d'écrire l'instruction INSERT INTO sous deux formes.
La première forme ne précise pas les noms de colonnes, où les données seront insérées, que leurs valeurs:
INSERT INTO table_name
VALUES (value1, value2, value3,...)
VALUES (value1, value2, value3,...)
La seconde forme spécifie à la fois les noms de colonnes et les valeurs à insérer:
INSERT INTO table_name (column1, column2, column3,...)
VALUES (value1, value2, value3,...)
VALUES (value1, value2, value3,...)

Pour obtenir PHP pour exécuter les instructions ci-dessus, nous devons utiliser la fonction mysql_query () la fonction. Cette fonction est utilisée pour envoyer une requête ou une commande à une connexion MySQL.
Exemple
Dans le chapitre précédent, nous avons créé une table nommée "personnes", avec trois colonnes; "Prénom", "Nom" et "Age". Nous allons utiliser la même table dans cet exemple. L'exemple suivant ajoute deux nouveaux enregistrements à la «personne» de table:

Maintenant, nous allons créer un formulaire HTML qui peut être utilisé pour ajouter de nouveaux enregistrements à l'affaire «Personnes» table.

Quand un utilisateur clique sur le bouton d'envoi dans le formulaire HTML dans l'exemple ci-dessus, les données du formulaire est envoyé à "insert.php".
Le "insert.php" fichier se connecte à une base de données, et récupère les valeurs de la forme avec les variables $ _POST PHP.
Ensuite, le mysql_query () exécute l'instruction INSERT INTO, et un nouveau record sera ajouté à la «personne» table.
